This may be a stupid question but if a DVA route on the schedules says 737-300, can I fly it with the 737-800 and still get credit for the flight?

As a general comment, there are a great number of routes available but unfortunately not as many as I'd like in the class of aircraft I want to fly. On another
VA I used to belong to, they had a concept called 'charter' flights - you could fly any route in any fleet aircraft and get credit for it, you just needed to fly the
regular routes to meet your monthly minimums and get promotions, etc.

Mike,

We do not require that you use the identical eqiupment as listed for the flight segment. The aircraft selected should be capable of making the journey safely and complying with FAA regulations. The individual is free to establish to what degree of reality they prefer to fly.

Note: A type rating is required in order to file a valid PIREP. Check Pilot Profile in the Pilot Center for type ratings.

Thanks Terry, I just noticed the same question posted earlier, I should've checked the previous posts first. Take care,

Mike

While talking about type ratings... If once you get a type rating, and move up to the next class, you keep the ratings on all aircrafts on that class, right? I've started a series of flights across the US (BOS-LGA-CVG-LAX-CVG-LGA-BOS) to finish up my 738 type and begin work on my 757 so i'm hoping that's how it works...

Yes, Alex. You keep your ratings. You can only gain ratings here, not lose them. I fly the ATR to the 777, and everything in between. It's fun to have the flexibility...
