Does anybody know where I can find a FREE program to remove spyware? I used 2 scanners and I found out that I have some, now I need to remove it.

Go to http://www.downloads.com and search for SpyBot-Search And Destroy. That should sort you out.

I use a program called Spy Sweaper by Webroot. You can use it once to remove Spyware from your computer but to update the defenitions for it, you have to reinstall the program again :(. Or you could just buy it like what I have done. Never had any problems with it.

Ad-Aware is pretty good too. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ Doesn't cost a thing and it's always up to date. I also use Spyware Blaster to keep it all off my system in the first place. With it running, I rarely get more than 1 or 2 problems in a scan. http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

I use Ad-Aware also.......i strongly suggest you go read the readme....as there are some settings that need to be adjusted manually...system tweaks so to speak.....once you adsjust those setting is ad-aware.it scans everyyyyy thing.I rarely have any problems now..when I do..like I started gettong pop-ups here on the DVA site...I opened ad-aware and let it do its thing...the pop-ups here are not from the dva site though..just happened to be the 1st site i went to when i woke up and i got the pop ups.the pop ups were coming from another file....but yea..ad-aware is bad to the bone.

Spybot has worked well here as a freeware add-on (of course I do not know what associations the creator has with "other" advertisement companies) I would also suggest you consider Window Washer to clean your syetm. Works well with Nortons and Spybot. The biggest problem I encounter before Spybot was "Gain" Gator advertisement. Until Spybot, was hell to get off the system here and it downloads itself when you hit certain web sites.
