I received the results this morning and thought you all might like to know. Nice Job DVA...Next time lets try to take 2nd or 1st.

Dear Airline Staff and Controllers,

Below are the results from the Battle of the Carriers 2.

Figures are based on an average of what CVG_VS_GND (Keith Calvert) counted
and are verified on the Vatsim stats page.
In case a count differed from CVG_VS_GND with what I saw on Vatsim stats, I
took the average. Therefore the error should be less than no more than 1
plane.

On Saturday October 18th, Cincinnati received a total of 114 flights (entire
day), 104 of which were inbound.
Out of those 104 inbounds 58 pilots with callsigns of the participating
airlines qualified for the Battle. Or in other words planes that departed
one of the 5 selected airports and arrived in Cincinnati (KCVG). Due to the
fact that there were some delays in Atlanta and Chicago. We counted everyone
who touched down between 3:30pm ET and 6:30 pm ET.

I won?t keep you longer waiting in patience, and the winner of the Battle of
the Carriers 2 goes to .....

American Airlines (AAL) with 25 pilots! biggrin
Second place goes to the American Pacific Group (APG) with 16 pilots. (AFA:
8 and PAY: 8)
Atlanta hub had 5 of their pilots participating, while Chicago hub had just
in time 4 pilots (PAY5349) arrived around 6:30pm ET.
Third is Delta (DAL): with 8 planes
4th is UPS with 5 planes
5th is United (UAL) with 4 planes

Note:
Altair did not participate due to various reasons as they have some other
events soon + they did not sign up nor show up and are therefore not listed.
Continental was not an official participant of this Battle yet they brought
out 6 pilots.

Also note that mostly Delta and UPS had various pilots departing other
airports than the ones who were selected. Those planes were therefore not
counted, as it was clearly stated you had to depart one of the 5 selected
airports. I noticed this for about a total 5 participants.

Additionaly we were already very generous with counting planes out of the
time limits. About 5-10planes were not counted because they arrived later
than 6:50pm ET.

Lastly we add AFA and PAY?s total because APG as a group is than
approximatly as big in terms of pilots when comparing to AAL, UPS, DAL etc.

Congrats to all pilots who showed and of course as well to the Controllers
who vectored us in with minimal delays!

I got a screenshot from servinfo during the battle:

If any of your pilots has other screenshots, please send them as well to me.

Again congratulations to AAL, and of course to every other airline without
whom we wouldn?t have had such a great turnout.

I hope to be working with each one of you again,

Congratulations again to all pilots that represented us.

Mike funny thing is that i was on tower in ORD during the battle of the carriers 2 and had a few DAL's and AAL's there departing around the same time and it was a blast.
Cheers
