I was just curious what status did you need to get the 747 additional rating? When I took the F/0 test for the triple 7 and the MD-11, I got the A330 and 340 as additional ratings. What does it take to get the 747? thanks.

You'll need to pass the DC-8 F/O test to get the 747 ratings.

The 747 ratings are supposed to be automatic with any of the primary stage 4 ratings. Matt, I've added the 747 to your profile for you.

Do you just need to pass the DC-8 F/O test or do you need to do a checkride as well for the DC-8 to get the 747 rating?

Again, read the manual. You aren't eligible for stage 4 ratings.
