Well, Joe and others...yesterday was very interesting... Craig and I live 10min. apart in Ardmore, Oklahoma. We came amazingly close to a tornado...the pic. that is attached(hopefully) to this is a pic. of a wall cloud that we spotted that went over my house. Note though there are droppings but there was NO rotation. A storm just to the south cut off all warm air inflow to give the storm the "juice" needed to tornado. We were put in a severe t-storm warning, but never went to a tornado warning as explained above.

Now, the fun part...looks like it's time to do this all over again http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/wwa/warnsummary.html
we're in the bottom left of that box, and are expecting it again. Tornadoes aren't all that likely but do to the time of year their prob. will be at least one tornado warning somewhere in this box.

Also if you would like to recieve a folder of yesterday's storm pic. let me know (9.61mb)

No basements. Water concentration too high in Oklahoma and would crack and flood every time it rains. (From what I'm told)

well, they're are basements but celars are a thing of the past...the new things are "safe rooms" they're very sturdy closest that is like locking yourself into a vault. very very safe...but if you're like me you'll chase after them and just stay behind and be ok too
