I am extremely pleased to announce that David Schaum will be leaving DVA to join our sister airline, AFV.

David has recently developed a great appreciation for the richest of all the Old World cultures, the French, and his lateral move to AFV is only the logical next step in such a move. He told me over the phone yesterday morning that he's embracing the French lifestyle lock, stock and barrel - he's up to a half bottle of red wine with breakfast, a pack of cigarettes a day and he has taken a mistress in a neighbouring subdivision. He tried going around on a bicycle wearing a beret, but told me that this was still the South and he was unfortunately mistaken for something other than a Frenchman. Having gone on and on about the health benefits of this I suggested doing the same to Lynne, only to receive the curt response that this could be more hazardous to my health than I realize. It seems David is also blessed with a supportive wife. Some guys have all the luck.

Please join me in congratulating David on his accomplishment.

Luke

Too funny. Thanks for putting a smile on my face Luke. Good luck David! Blue, blue skies man. Hmmmm. I never had a sister named David before, eh. Oh OK, AFV would be my sister. All the best to you and yours.

Does AFV stand for Air France Virtual or April Fools Volunteer?? I hope its an April Fools joke. Dave, please don't go to the land of bad attitute, poor personal hygene, and unshaven arm pits. If it'll keep you from going, I'll insult you and won't take a shower for a week!!! hehehehe...

Did you actually think I would let this thread go unanswered? Well, let me respond in David Schaum fashion:

It is with great enthusiasm that I accept this transfer over to what I think will be the best virtual airline, AIR FRANCE VIRTUAL! (NOT)

Long have I wanted to leave my perch from above as a member of the Master Race, and stoop down to experience the lifestyle of men who can?t defend their country and sound like women when they speak.

But really folks; what sold me on this idea of moving to AFV, was Luke telling me that the virtual flight attendants on AFV, shave their arm pits, and take showers daily unlike real French women. I mean after all, when my wife finds out about the mistress in the neighboring subdivision, virtual sex will be the only thing I get.

All kidding aside, and my comments are meant to be taken as a joke, I think this was a great prank on me today, and I love being at the center of it. I'm really glad that I found in my life, a hobby at home that brings a lot of enjoyment. (It's also the least expensive hobby I have) I truly enjoy getting to know and becoming friends with the pilots we have here at DVA. If you ever took the time to look, you'd notice that I'm not a member of any other VA. I never will be either. If I'm ever called upon to help launch the new AFV, I would be glad to lend a hand, but would never become a member! hehehehe.

Happy April Fools!

Nice cover story David :P. Well I did join another VA but resigned because Delta was the very first Airline I flew on IRL and also the very first VA. I'm here for good!
