Hi guys,

I was wondering. With the release of the PMDG 747-400 only weeks away, what is the policy within DVA to use this as a substitute on long haul flight where normally the 747-100 was flown? Of course, if a livery for a Delta 747-400 is ever made. Or does anyone else have ideas how to fly this bird for DVA? Probably by doing NWA or AF flights.

Thanks,
Matthew

Where did you hear that the PMDG744 was only a few weeks from release? The last I heard from any of them on the forum was that they were just going into another screen shot phase. I just looked at their website and found nothing indicating the release.

I'm sure no one will object to using the new PMDG product for the 747 flights in the historical database.

it has to be close to release because even from the screen shots from last december the exterior and VC sure looked pretty much done and its been almost 4month since then.

david,

i hope you are right, this craft is going to 'rock' as americans like to say smile
and i agree! i wonder if a crago version will be included, but i guees not since the b1900c was also release seperately. an upgrade is probably planned as with the 737NG. should be worth the money smile

thanks guys. the estimate was fictious, just based upon the time frame i would imagine them to release it all in.

take care,
matthew

Matt,

You could use it in AF flights... or we have too, Korean Air, El Al, China Airlines and Northwest codeshares that are gonna let you use it fully. smile

I hope you are write about the release date. That would mean 3-5 months for the MD-11 to go. smile

Cheers!

I would not hold my breath for the 747 as PMDG said it was to be out last fall and never made it.

I heard from another site that 747-400 "Queen of the skies"is pencilled in for a Nov 2005 release, with MD-11 "The Last Tri-jetr" due for Jan/Feb 2006"....

Good things are worth the wait :-)
