I'd like to post a gentle reminder to all of our pilots based on some feedback I've received from a number of pilots.
The area of our web site that I'm most proud of is the Water Cooler. It's a great place for all of our pilots to get together and share experiences and stories. The Water Cooler is a lot of what makes DVA a great virtual airline. Almost every virtual airline has a message forum - almost none are as active and vibrant as ours.
I added the image functionality as a way to allow you to post images, but please remember that my bandwidth is extremely limited, and my options for expanding said bandwidth are very constrained (even more so when I discovered that we serve 4+ GB of data a month). I don't want to impede your enjoyment, but at the same time I'd like to ask all of you to take a second thought before posting images. This isn't a picture-swapping forum - I can't support that.
I don't want to make onerous rules and regulations; let's all use a little bit of common sense and I think we'll be fine.

Luke, is there any way to "unhook" attached images from the posts after say two or three days? Maybe get flushed at 12AM each day? That way, if it's recent and on the first water Cooler page (or two, or three) it can be seen, but not after that. It might reduce the bandwidth. I don't know. Just my dumb two cents.

i know a little about programming in css.. in which this forum is made.. maybe i could help with the "rather ingenious idea"..
but it also depends on the way you guys mantain it..
