I have my favorite aircraft and like to fly a number of routes. May I fly and file a Pirep for any scheduled route flying my choice of a/c that I am qualified to fly? A schedule may call for a CRJ which I do not fly often and I prefer my DF727 or PMDG 737NG. I this acceptable?

John,

You may fly and PIREP any Delta or Air France scheduled route using any aircraft that you are type rated to fly provided of course that the aircraft is capable of making the journey. A thirteen hour trans oceanic journey in your PMDG 737-800 would not be accepted since the aircraft is incapable of carrying sufficient fuel and may not have the ETOPS ratings required. The accepted routes can be found in the Pilot Center and the real world schedules. If you use real world flight numbers, note that in your PIREP. Our flight database is updated quarterly.

Enjoy!

Thanks Terry for your response. I fly the routes in our schedule here at DAV but like to choose the a/c based on how much I feel like working such as the DreamFleet 727 or taking it technical and easy such as the PMDG. The ATR72-500 is just fun.

I patiently await the new PMDG 747 and then getting upgraded here at DAV to fly some of the really long routes.

I must say whoever has done the fleet here has done a great job. They look good and fly well. I use them for a lot of my flights.
