I wish to participate in the Vatsim Acrossed the Pond event that goes acrossed the atlantic with full ATC a week from today. If that is NOT in the preferred route list can I get credit for it? And If I can, what paperwork needs to be done?

Have you signed up for it? If not, you will need to leave from another airport, and on another NAT track to fly. There has been discussion on the VATSIM forums about this.

They have already said that if you haven't signed up, and you just show up, there is a pretty good chance you won't even get a clearance to depart. They just don't have the resources to keep track of all the planes going across the Atlantic.

Don't let what I've said discourage you, you might still check it out. Just letting you know, that you might have some problems doing it.
