Would there be any reason that I have no tests available in my testing center? I've fulfilled my initial 5 flights and then some. I would like to take the 727 and 737 F/O exams to obtain the additional ratings in those a/c which I am entitled to as a 757 F/O. But no tests are available. Is this a software bug that can be easily remided or am I just screwed?

Lance,

We are working on solution. Please be patient.

You might want to recheck your logbook, the number of approved flights in 757 and 767 are four (4) not five (5).

OK, fine, check my logbook. I've got four(4) approved flights in either a 757 or a 767. That means I should be eligible to take the 727 F/O flight to get an additional rating.

I think there's some confusion, and our site does not match the current revision of the Promotions Guide. Right now, you need a minimum of 5 flights in the primary aircraft for your type (in your situation, the 752, 753, 762, 763 or 764) in order to take any examinations.

This is the unfortunate byproduct of a lot of new Pilots immediately trying to write all sorts of exams and accumulate ratings as fast as possible.

Cheers!

OK, now that the situation has been explained to me, I understnad and all is clear. I'm not trying to accumulate alot of ratings, I just want the ones I normally fly while working towards a promotion.

Thanks Luke

Keep in mind Lance that you need 10 flights in your program type before you can test for Captain. Best suggestion is really to fly 10 flights in the 757/767 series and take your captain's test, then you are clear to do whatever...

That much I know. And this afternoon I finished my fifth flight in my program type. I just thought it would be nice to obtain the 727 and 737 ratings now and then stress over the captain's test later.
