I've got two problems. The first is that I almost always get a "ACARS Authentication timed out" when trying to log in. I have been able to log on twice now, after repeatedly trying. When I am finally able to log on, the ACARS window... or gauge, is empy, saying Data Requested. Is there something else I must do in order for this to be window to be filled in? I searched on here for answers, but didn't get any so I decided to man up and post this. I read the ACARS documentation also.

I'm puzzled why you'd get an authentication timeout, unless it takes more than 4 seconds to get authenticated. It shouldn't - but there might be a slow network link and it's pushing you over the timeout interval. I might raise the timeout limit in Build 61 to add a little slack here. Are you on dialup or broadband?

I'm running from my dorm room... I think we've got T1 or something here. Would it have anything to do with me being from Alaska? Eh, just throwing ideas out there. Also, what about the blank ACARS gauge in the aircraft when I finally do connect? Should there be information in there... or is there more I need to do so I don't just get the Data Requested line?!

There isn't a gauge that connects to ACARS...yet

The gauge I tink your describing is the SERVinfo gauge. Servinfo is a untility that tells you s\about connections and things on Vatsim or IVAO. to have it not say data requested you need to have servinfo running.
Servinfo is avalible in our Online flying kit

Thanks for the replys. I just downloaded SERVinfo. I am still not able to connect though. I'll just wait for later versions and see if that helps.
