My question is about the 757 test, my goal is to get the rating for the 767 ( I am keeping my place in the 737) I notice that on the 757 test there was a couple of questions refering to the 767. If I pass the 757 test do I get the 757 rating and the 767 rating? Reason why I conclude this, in one of the manuels it says that they made the cockpits similar so one qualified for 757 is qualified for the 767 and vise versa, is this true for the test, getting both ratings?

THanks

I think my new catch phase is "vise versa" I am always using that.

Josh,

Yes, if you take and pass the 757 test for the additional rating, you also receive ratings in the 757-300, 767-200, 767-300, and 767-400. Hope that helps, and if you have anymore questions just let us know.

That pretty much sums it up, Thanks Trevor. I need to retake my test, I been reading the 757 manuel and the encylopedia one. I am going to read the 767 one tomorrow afternoon. ANy other things I should read to get a good score.

That is about all you should need to do to pass the test. It is possible that there are one or two questions where the answers cannot be found in either of those sources, but we do try to minimize those types of questions. Good luck!

You will do fine Josh. I don't know if you have done it but when you got your test results back the first time, I am sure there was a note about asking for help if you need it.....Take advantage of that. David Shartzer is an awesome guy and a great CP. If you ask him to go over what you missed, he will give you what he was looking for. I flopped my 757 Capt. test the first time and most of it was cause I was assuming he knew what I meant and he wanted detail but he was more than nice enough to go over it with me so if you need help, ask him, or me, or anyone here at DVA. We always love to see other DVA pilots succeed. Good Luck, I am sure you will do great. Let us know how you did. CHEERS!!!
