Hi folks. I'm not exactly sure who to contact so I decided to go public with it. Hahah. I just completed my fifth leg (DVC-4170) KCVG-KATL and I just filed the flight report. But before that I filed a report (DVC-5363) KCOS-KCVG, which I forgot to file after the flight, which was around 7:00. I had so much fun with the first flight I wanted to fly to ATL right after. Problem is on the COS-CVG flight I was suppose to arrive at 7....and the CVG-ATL flight departs at 7. So what I did was right after I landed, I printed out some charts, checked the weather got on FS again, and went back in time 10 minutes before departure time on the CVG-ATL flight got everything set, and was on my way. I know I'm bending the rules of time here but is this against the rules on DVA?

Btw I made a mistake on the report and said the COS-CVG flight was my 3rd leg, when it was my 4th.

Thanks.

Arrey,
You should read the december issue of the Flight Academy newsletter (it is in the Pilot Center, download library) - in the flight planning article I go into just this kind of stuff...

the bottom line - it's not a problem - we're very laid back about this.

suppose the real world flight departs at 1900 hrs local time. You can fly this flight whenever you like. You can fly the simulator time whenever you like. If you want to fly it at night or in the daytime it is perfectly acceptable.

I wouldn't get too worried about the leg.. I have never used anything but leg 1 or leg 2

Arrey,

First rule at DVA is to have fun. Most things you do here can be forgiven in the name of having fun, which you seem to be having a lot of, that is great. As far the flight report, it is ok that you did that. You do not necessarily have to follow real world time or scheduals. You were merely flying two routs and the times on them are just reference and you can set your FS time to them as needed so what you did was fine, we are just happy you are having a good time.

As far as the flight report is concerned, it is not that big of a deal but it can be changed. Also, you mentioned not knowing who to contact, well you are always free and encouraged to contact your Chief Pilot who is Jared Angstadt. He will be more than happy to assist you with any question you might have. But you are always welcome to post on here, all of us are willing to help. Glad you are having a great time. Cheers and Happy Flying!!
