Do we always have to fly the aircraft to which we are assigned or can we fly others?

You can fly any aircraft you are rated in. You should have a list of this in the Pilot Center.

Cheers!

Please take a peek at the Promotions Guide (in the Document Library) to see how you can get additional ratings or switch programs.

Cheers!

When using an aircraft for a flight, ensure that the aircraft makes sense for that flight and that it can safely complete the flight. Using a 737-800 for ATL-CDG is not acceptable.

If you're looking to fly a larger aircraft, you should consider moving up to a different aircraft program. I see that you've already attained the rank of Captain in the CRJ, so transitioning to, let's say the 737 for example, should be a rather simple matter for you. Simply take and pass the 737 FO's exam, and then do the checkride.

Something to keepin mind. If you fly and aircraft that is outside you current rating, it may not count towards your promotion to the next level in your program.
