I'm a Stage 3 Cap'n but I love the PMDG 738 so I asked to be certified for the equip program on 1/31/06. I passed the exam, but the cert doesn't appear in my area.

I belive even though I'm Stage 3 I still need to pass a check ride, which is cool...no problem there, but I haven't heard anything about it.

Should I just wait or contact someone as it's been almost a week now?

Thanks.

I have a similar problem too, I'm in stage3 757 but want to fly my pmdg738, however in the change equipment or additional type rating section of the Pilot Center i only have an option for CRJ-200. Any suggestions?

Luke is currently working this issue. The promotion policies have been a bit tortuous for him to implement into the code. Please be patient while he does his magic. smile

There's no magic for me to work here. I vaguely recall the staff of a certain program asking for a change in the promotion policy to prevent pilots with only 1 leg writing 737 FO exams. wink

Cheers!

Luke, could you perhaps provide a link to where this promotion policy is stated? I have read the latest Pilots Promotion manual and this is what it states regarding additional type ratings:

"Same level or lower additional aircraft rating, pilots can pursue First Officer exam and an ACARS Check Ride at any time"

-no prerequisite for legs are stated. I'm not requesting a change in equipment program (which requires atleast 10 legs), just an additional type rating for the 737. Regards!

Nevermind, i read the next paragraph... heehee. A contradiction perhaps: "any time" versus "10 legs" hmmm.

Marc,

As a new pilot you need to complete 5 flight segments before you can sit for the lower or same stage FO exam. Make an equpment transfer request and select additional rating only to start the process. After passing the FO exam 737 you will be assinged a Check Ride.
