A box for entering an airport code for a current METAR would be helpful (unless my own stupidity is keeping me from seeing one that's already present on this web site).

aahahah ... well we all learn by making mistakes ...

Go to pilot center, then scroll down to Airport Information and in the drop down box select METAR report, and type in the code of the airport smile

Works fine for me Eugenio. Sure it wasn't just the airport you tried?

Well, it's a link to the NOAA site, so if it's not working, their site has an issue with your ISP or something...

Try this site Dave - same place http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/metar.shtml

When i go directly to that link and type the airport code there, it will show the metar.
When i try to get the metar directly from DVA pilot center, it will say the code is wrong and wont show any metar

Intereseting ... thansk anyway George, eitherway I use AS6 or AirNav for metars.

I created a little stand alone program that retrieves the metar and displays it.

A screenshot is here: http://designmojo.com/images/newjpw.jpg

You can download it here: http://designmojo.com/site/applications (bottom of the page)

Thanks for all the responses. Those tools look great Chris. I already downloaded them. I'll make good use of them.

Only one more flight to reach my first 10!!!!!
