I have a question for the Codeshare flights, if airline A uses a 777 for the flight, am I allowed to use the 777 for that flight or do I have to use my trusty 757 or another a/c that im rated for?

Dennis,

You are only allowed to log flights on aircraft you are rated for even if they are codeshare flights. That does not mean that you are not allowed to substitute aircraft. As long as the plane you want to fly has the operational ability to make the flight you are allowed to sub it in for the scheduled aircraft. So if JFK to Milan on Alitalia as a Delta codeshare is supposed to be with a 777 per the schedule, you are allowed to sub in a 767.

And how do I get ratings? Is it when I get access to this training center at 5 flights?
