Thank you George, Steve, Dakota, Chris, Andy, David, Jim, and Mike!!!
To answer yall's questions, yes, I definitely learned a lot. And the checkride with George was certainly a little stressful, as it was my time to "show what I've got".
A few weeks ago, showing George what I've got would have taken about 10 minutes; not 2.5 hours. It would have gone something like this... I'd dial-in a few gauges, and then say, "George, watch me hit this AP button".
Thanks guys, because I'm sincerely appreciative of your congrats, but the REAL HERO here, the guy my hat comes off to, the guy that taught me the skills to show to George on the checkride, is a man you won't hear very much from... he doesn't live for glory or praise. He unselfishly gave his time, to make me a better pilot, as he will with all his students. He's the one that suffered through my inability to hold an altitude or speed. He's the one that walked me through the checklist, talked me through correct ATC procedures, and guided me through NDB approaches (yes, there are more ways to land than jumping on the localizer). He will always be my mentor, and hopefully my friend. He's earned my respect, and hopefully yours as well. He's a Certified Flight Instrutor at the DVA Flight Academy, and his name is SCOTT CLARKE.
Please join with me in saying, "GREAT JOB SCOTT!!!!!!!!!!!"
Sincerely,
Gary Fournerat, PPL

Gary: First, Congrats on passing the PPL course with our taskmaster, George Lewis. I want to thank you for the kind words, now I have to live up to them......I hope that all of the pilots that have and are taking the PPL so far have learned something from the course and had fun doing it. We hope it made you a better pilot. George, Jim and I are working on the commercial and instrument courses right now. So practice what you learned and look forward to seeing you in these new courses when they are released ...Again, thanks for the kudo's and glad you had fun....enjoyed flying with you..
