Ok I know that I'm just a nobody, and my opinion doesn't mean much, but I've been searching for the best VA for about 4 years now. I've flown with just about EVERY VA out there. (Signed up with DVA back in 2003).
After my many years of searching, flying, testing, trying, blah blah... what can I say?
Delta Virtual Airlines is really the best VA out there, in my humble opinion. Trust me I've tried them ALL, the big ones, the small ones, the European ones, etc...I lost count.. (My apologies to those VAs to whom I will no longer be flying and I hope I didn't waste too much time).

The reasons for DVA being on top (you all know this already I guess)...

Very unique system.. the ability to join a program makes it special, rather than just logging hours to get to the next "level", when I'm in a program I feel like I have to make my flights as best as possible for that particular plane/group.
There is no other VA that has this type of program. Especially since you can join a "retro" program. I love this aspect.

The ACARS, recently introduced, is spectacular. Many VAs now have this, sure, but I can see my old flights, piece by piece.. I can see every pilot and where he/she is going, etc.. the detail is amazing.

The community. Unsurpassed. I flew very VERY few flights with DVA, since I've been trying many other VAs, but still I feel like I'm treated as someone who has a million hours logged. Using ACARS and just saying hello to fellow pilots.. is something special, without having to fly VATSIM. It still "feels" like I'm flying online with other pilots and I can still have my AI traffic.

Over the last 4 years as I was trying many other VAs, I kept coming back here. Even though I had no flights flown, I could still log in, I was still welcome, my records were still there, I still felt like I would be welcome, without the stress of having to log a last minute flight so I don't get dropped from the roster.

So, yes I'm just one person, not even a good pilot really, nobody important.. but I've finally chosen to make DVA my virtual home.

Thanks to all those who dedicate their time to this VA, from Luke to everyone else who puts time in to keep this place going. The checkride pilots, the trainers.. all of you. Thanks for all of your hard work!

It IS appreciated, even though sometimes we take you for granted.

Regards,

Jeff
