Hello,

I was flying KATL - KDTW tonight in a CRJ2, and on 10 mile final, FS9 crashed on me (actually, it just quit completely to my desktop.) I was online on VATSIM at the time. (See FS9 Mysterious Crash thread in PC Support channel for more details.)

Question. Do I need to refly the flight completely to submit a pilot report? I'm a little unsure of the procedure here, since in real life (to the best of my knowledge) freak holes in space/time do not open up and swallow aircraft. smile

Thanks for any insight!

This is very interesting indeed, the same thing happened
to me and I've heard Vatsim controllers saying there
have been an increase in pilots dropping off their scopes?

What I did in my case was I reverted back to Swq Box 3.0
and I have not had a problem since(knock on wood)

It seems there something about swqbox 3.1 and Windows XP
and the antivirus software you might be using that the system
does not like? Just a thought, I don't have time to investigate. confused

I must say i have experienced the same irritating problem. You may be right Terry, as soon as i installed Squawkbox 3.1 i occasionally loose my connection for no apparent reason. Iam sure this does cause confusion at times with planes suddenly appearing and dissapearing. Whenever this happens i try and inform ATC that i had a connection issue. Might take your advice though Terry and revert back to 3.0 if 3.1 is the problem. Would be helpful if anyone else has the same problem and can shed some much needed light.

Happy Landings!!!

Ben
