Ok, I'm in the 737 program, and requested an MD-88 rating. I have passed the writen exam and am wondering if I may now start flying MD-88 flights or is there another step?

I looked through the "Transferes Manual" and it still wasn't clear to me.

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks!!

Almost there David. You will first need to go into the Pilot Center and submit a request for an additional rating. You will then be assigned a checkride, which you will need to complete to earn the rating. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Okay, did that on 7/2. Just wanted to make sure it went through and that there was nothing else I needed to do at this point.

This brings up an interesting question. Would you want me to add checkrides to the Testing Center, if people have an expectation that a pending checkride be listed there?

Cheers!

That may be a good idea for the next build Luke, is it possible to add logic to the system , say IE in my test center I am able to take the 767 MD11 and DC8 exams, Can the logic be as such as to when you take the 767 F/O exam, it locks out all others until the exam and the CR, if required, are completed before another exam populates?

Did I make any sense confused

Since the F/O examination is not part of the eqTransfer/addRatings workflow (although it is a pre-requisite) there's no way I can add such a lockout. One could decide to take the 737 F/O examination with the desire to get an additional rating or transfer programs, but after completing the examination change his or her mind.

Cheers!

I think what would be most helpful would be a modification under the "Request additional rating" section of the Pilot Center.

where my line reads as follows:

"On 07/02/2006, you have requested additional equipment type ratings in the MD-88 program"

IF it's not too much trouble it would be helpful this section is updated to indicate my checkflight was assigned once it was.

If that's a lot of effort from an adminidstrative standpoint, no big deal.
