Every Now and then on Heavily dense Airports it will drop drastically to 10 from 30, which is where I have it locked at, then it will stabilize to 15 and hold. I blame that on this AGP card,

I think once i make the Quantum leap into the AM2 and a Descent SLI Card 7950GTX slitwrist I should see a major improvement. But that also means back to 1 gig of DDR2 at those prices it would cost me 2500 to build my next rig.

I was Hoping to get the MSI K8N Diamond Plus 16x up and down, My other option is the Asus A8n32 SLI board, But the drn Pci slots are between the SLI Slots, bad design....

Tony,

I would say the VC is a good next move. Just watch that clock speed and the Pixel Pipelines. You can never have enough of either. I just upgraded my older gaming PC to the XFX NVidia GeForce 7800 GS. It is a bit pricey but holy cow. What a difference. Here is a link to the VC:

I suggest everyone set their FPS lock at 24fps, movies play at 24fps.

Plus if your system is already good and has been cranking out 30-40-50fps and you turn the lock down to 24fps you'll probably also notice better scenery generation because your system is not working as hard to pull off that high fps number. CPU can focus more on other things.

Good note Terry, also remember if you change your video card you have to reset your FS config files (if you want to see any improvement). A FS config reset is not required when you add mem only.

There is a great VC for LDS on AVSIM. It has a DTX set for the VC so you do not see such "DRASTIC" FPS and Game stall when switching to.
