Good day All,

Please excuse me for asking this but confusion reigns supreme, I am presently a Captain in the 737-800 program and have done the test and check ride for the 767 program. My profile now indicates that I can file PIREPS for the 767. I did a flight last night in the 767 and noticed in my logbook that it does not count for promotion to Captain in the 767 program.

My question - Do I need to switch program's for this to count towards promotion in the 767? The 767 does show in the "New equipment Program Transfer Request". I just want to be sure before I request any transfers etc.

I enjoy flying both aircraft and would like to gain promotion in both.

Thanks
Mark

If you switch to the 767 program at a future time, your previous flights in the aircraft will count. Eg say that if you stayed in the 737 program a little longer but accumulated 10 flight you could transfer to the 767 program and take the captain's test immediately. If you have less then 10 you still get to keep them and just finish out what you need to make the 767 captain's test requirements. You can only be in one aircraft program at a time so it is not possible to get promotion in both aircraft simultaniously.

Side note: if you are trying to achieve Senior Captain in the 737 then it will immediately transfer with you to whichever program you switch to and you will always be Senior Captain unless you become part of the staff.

I hope this clears up your question smile

Negative...
You have to transfer to the 767 program if you want to be a 767 Captain... the 10 flight leg segment count for Captain starts when the pilot transfers into the program.
If you later decide to roll back to the 737 you will mantain your current 737 Captain title (the system always remember)
Also the Senior Captain title it's transferible but first you need to be a Captain in that program...
Example, If you are a 767 Senior Captain and you transfer to the MD-11 you will not have the MD-11 Senior Captain title until you pass the MD-11 Captain exam.
