Hello Chaps

So, whats the score with Checkrides? I just passed my Captains Written paper - third time lucky - stop giggling at the back, please! - anyway, do I need to take a checkride or something? Do just carry on till I get asked to take one, or do I book it - duck it, avoid it, what?

By the way....this site is my favourite - no, second favourite place in the whole world. The knowledge, the entusiasm, the camaraderie. I just love it. Sometimes I switch my pc on with the intention of flying but just get so wrapped up in all the threads, and the newsletters, and what not, it ends up "time for bed" before I get chance to switch the batteries on! Speaking of bed...yep, thats my first favourite place! G' Night! smile

Once you pass your captains test you just carry on with the aircraft that your rated for. The only time you really need to take a checkride is when you switch equipment programs.
