B777 Chief Pilot Adam Gaweda passed his PPL checkride in the DVA Flight Academy and with this he earns the distinction of the first DVA Staff Member outside of the Flight Academy to be awarded the PPL certificate (yes, folks, we even make the staff members work for it, no freebies here)

Adam did a great job - he hand flew the airplane very well and of course, NDB and VOR navigation was a breeze for himl. Again, great job and thanks for going through the course Adam!

Mr. first staffer to get his ppl certificate.

Here's to you ole sultan of the T7.

While most T7 pilots scoff at this hand flying idea or VOR navgiation mumbo jumbo you drank the flight academy kool-aid and said to heck with FMCs and autopilots.

So crack open a cold one Mr. VOR man because tonight it's just you, a new FA, and two props.

Congrats!

Congrats are in order. Adam, it was a pleasure to fly with you as your flight instructor. You bring a wealth of aircraft knowledge and your attention to detail is great. Thanks for taking the course, hope you learned a few things. Also, thanks for working with us on improvements to the EMB-120 and its panel for the commercial and instrument course.....

Chris W., is there a radio or TV commercial you can't reference? And they all seem to be beer related..hm. Terry we need to discuss alcohol testing the pilots before flights LOL

Actually I'm not a big beer drinker. I'm more of a crown guy. smile

No drnuk I'm not occifer. Come to think of it, that might be the reason some of my landings are so bad. Wow......we really need to do testing on you then, Keech! biggrin

Congratulations "Wing Walker" Adam, the first staff member to complete the PPL course!

Aren't the EMB-120 wings a bit narrow for wing walking? Don't you have to look out for the spinning fan blades?

(For those who don't know Adam, he is reknown for tweaking the aircraft.cfg file while flying in Group Flights. We refer to his tinkering as wing walking.)

Thanks everybody. I would like to thank Scott for putting up with me throughout the course. I had so much fun I would do it all over again any time.

Terry, no wing walking this time, more of an "inflight panel fiddle" for a change.
