yep PSS Tracked the LOC nicely, I was having some issues with the ATL scenery, so I took a quick hop from CLT to ATL on the Macey2 Intercepted the LOC at Freal and no problems.......

I tried my first autoland with the PSS 777 the other day and it worked!!!

Still fun to land by hand but great to have the option.

Y'know, I tried an autoland with the LDS 767 this morning at the end of an overnight LIPZ-KATL flight, so I could get a nice screenshot of the landing. All autopilots were on, she was on speed, on glideslope, on localizer. Thirty feet off the ground, she flared...and the throttles went to GA and she stayed level, accelerating at twenty feet off the ground. I had to manually go missed and go back around. I've NEVER had that autoland fail before.

The PSS 757 autoland seems odd, in that it doesn't flare. It just seems to pick a spot on the runway and plant the plane on it in approach attitude. When I tried it I got a -428 fpm landing per ACARS...firm, but not dangerous, and smack on the centerline.

Moose - In the LDS, make sure your throttle settings are manually set to idle on your yoke or throttle console (whatever you use). I've had that same thing happen where i've left the throttles on my yoke above idle and when the flare kicked in at 30 ft she just took the throttle settings of the yoke. I just got into the habit of manually placing the throttles at 'idle' on my yoke when i kick in VNAV - never an autoland issue after that. The autoland is great on the LDS ... smooth as silk. Shame it doesn't seem to be as modelled as well in the PSS757.
