Hello All:
Another Stupid Question. So Far my flights have been regular or connector routes of Delta. When on line i have used DAL3551. I want to fly a route from KMSP to KPHL and the only flight using equipment I am auth. to fly is a NorthWest flight.
What on line ID do i use? ----DVA3551? or something else identifying the flight as NW.

Mike

I just use my DVA callsign no matter if it's a codeshare flight or not. It's up to you if you want to use a NW callsign. Please make sure this flight is in our database though before proceeding.

I don't fly codeshare flights very often, but when I do I use Delta equipment and the DVA callsign. It's completely your choice though. If you plan to use NWA equipment, by all means go ahead and use the NWA callsign.

Just to save you some headache, make sure the flight you intend to fly appears in the DVA schedule database. Not all NWA flights are Delta codeshare flights.

EDIT: Chris beat me by a few seconds. LOL

I often do fly codeshare flights because there are ton into/out of Charlotte. biggrin But, I just indicate DAL2887 as my call-sign regardless. I may use NW2887 in the future for fun but only if I have a NW livery for the aircraft I intend to fly for the route. At least that makes it a bit more interesting (and realistic).

Either way, don't forget to put "www.deltava.org" in your IFR flight plan comments section so ATC will know you're really flying for the BEST VIRTUAL AIRLINE THERE IS! cool

Thank you for the info. As for the flight(s) being in our Data base, I wouldn't fly anything else.
I joined in the middle of a project started over a year ago. I started in Washington DC and I am flying all 50 US States in alphabetical order with the only rules that I can not land in State capitals and I can not use the same aircraft on consecutived flights. I am at KMSP as the first leg between Oregon and Pennsylvania so I was looking to fly Delta VA and do my project at the same time

Thanks again for the help

Mike
