hey everyone,

I am about to make my tenth flight as a first officer in the CRJ program and am planning on taking the captains test, but I want to get additional rating as well, but I do not want to be stuck in the CRJ program forever, so how do I get to be a first officer or captain in other aircraft programs. Thanks for the help.

after passing the captains exam you will be able to request additional ratings in the type 2 aircraft programs.

Welcome to DVA Kasey, and as Don said, everytime you make Captain in your Stage aircraft, you will be able to take the First officer exams for the next stage higher aircraft. Once you pass the First Officer exam, you then must pass a Checkride which will be assigned by the Chief Pilot/Assistant Chief Pilot for that Stage aircraft.
