Okay so I am a 1st officer in the 737-800...

I like to start out by flying out of Columbus, OH (CMH) because that is my home town and I like to make it as realistic as possible. In order for me to go anywhere, I need to go to CVG or ATL first (obviously main HUBS). I see that there are many other flights that leave CMH and go directly to places like Boston and etc. Am I allowed to take my 737-800 or A321 on those routes, or do I need to fly the plane that DVA says I should. I have a CRJ-700 rating but don't really like to fly it.

Also, can we fly CO or NW or other's routes too?

Thanks.

You can fly any aircraft on those routes as long as the aircraft has the range to complete the flight safely and you are rated in the aircraft.

There are CO and NWA codeshare flights in the schedule database, but not all CO or NWA flights are valid flights. Basically if the flight appears in the DVA schedule database, you can fly it.

Christopher, feel free to take your B738 on any of those routes. Now of course, ALT-CDG is impossible because the 738 doesn't have the range to fly to Paris, but anything within it's range, even if the schedule says 757, CRJ or whatever, feel free to fly it in your airplane.

Hello Christopher, welcome to DVA. As mentioned above you can fly any flight in any aircraft you are rated to fly, as long as that aircraft has the range to fly that route. And also if the flight is listed in the DVA schedule database. I also live in the columbus area and enjoy flying in and out of CMH. Hope you enjoy your time here.
