Hey, just had a walk around the pilot roster, and noticed many pilots who have
been inactive for years, can we close these out or do their records need to
stay on-line mixed with the active pilots?

It's starting to look pretty messy?

Hate to be the party pooper here- but you need to know this. Unless it says 'Copyright Terry Johnson' in the bottom left hand corner OR you have permission from the photographer to post the above pic then you are forbidden from posting the image on this website (you can of course post a link to the image).

As for 'cleaning' up the site i think we have a pretty open door policy here where any inactive pilot can re-sign in and activate their account. No need for clean up as long the database can handle it ... which judging from how responsive this site is on queries i don't think that's an issue.

As for 'messy' - now that's a matter of personal taste wink

The pilot roster already gets cleaned out on a regular basis; people who have not logged into our web site for over 90 days will be automatically marked inactive.

Cheers!

I can assure you that our server is definitely up to the task of retaining 5,189 pilot records from inception. When I view our dual core processor activity, it is idling.

At this moment our active pilots number 1,772. As Luke points out, our system after 90 days with no activity the pilot is placed as inactive. Should the pilot 2 - 3 years down the road decide to return, we are pleased to return them to where they left us.

Our policy is to accept all applicants that are interested in aviation and are prepared to expand their aviation experience and knowledge. We have no plans to change our business model.

I for one have always loved the "just log in every 90 days" to stay active policy. I have used this as selling points for our VA to guys looking for one.

Way too many strict ones out there on you HAVE to fly 3 flights a month or else. Sometimes I fly 3 in a day but have had times where I went a few months between legs. But DVA is always there when I get back.

I say this discussion is over. Luke Collin just told us that it is filtered every 90 days. Lets not argue with the officials! cool
