I have complete satisfactory the test of the First Officer of the Boeing 737. Im studing the aircraft and flying it but I think that I nedd more time to fly better.

If I dont swicth from the MD88 program to the B 737 program, can I fly the 737 and my fligths hours and legs counts and off course not for promotion on the 737 program???

Martin,

You can request the addition rating only for the 737 which requires both the written test and a check ride. Once you are rated to can log the hours in the 737.

Later if you wish you can request a program switch and you should not have to retake any of the testing for the 737. This is what I did in going into the 757 program. Once in the 737 program any new flights will then also count towards the requirements for gaining captain rating.

Let me add to Robert's response. Once you have the ratings, you have them. You will not need to requalify. If you transfer to the 737 program after you have received the 737 ratings, and want to become a Captain, then only those 737 flights made after the transfer will count toward the promotion.
