Congrats to Senior Captain Andrew Vane (DVA2887) are in order. He passed his PPL checkride tonight. He did a great job in flying the pattern, turns, stalls, slow flight and even did some "commercial" standard short field landings. He was last heard mumblin "The Mighty 727" flight song has he walked into the Pilot Lounge....

Andrew, I appreciate your willingness to fix Hul A Girl's stretched neck spring. With your engineering expertise, you should be able to really design a new neck for her as we will be using her as a examiner in the commercial course to determine G forces when "you know who flys the course". Remember it was the quick side movements during his last checkride that damaged the current neck parts and also slammin the Gator on a few other checkrides that caused the massive failure.

Thanks for the kind words. Hula Girl did fine. She didn't even know when we touched down. She did want me to thank Keech and Terry for her for paying for her chiropractor appointments and adjustments.
This is a great course and I highly recommend it to anyone. There few people who are passionate about flying who would volunteer so much of their time just to help out their fellow virtual (and eventually real world) pilots. All the new CFI's who recently joined are in good company.
