when i set my ALT button, and then turn on the AP, my plane will nose dive into the ground. can anyone help me to correct this? Plz.

You have to have an altitude set before engaging ALT Hold. If you've engaged ALT but not set an altitude, then the plane tries to go to 00000 feet MSL (which is usually below ground). You also need to realize that the A/P needs five or so seconds to get the elevator trim to the right position for a climb. You can't immediately let go of the controls as soon as you engage ALT.

It even did it while i was flying from KBNA-KPHX. I was cruising at FL300, and 2hrs into the flight it just decided to nose dive.

The only time my 738 has nosedived after flying for a while was when I ran out of fuel. My install was bugged and the simulation was only pulling fuel from the left wing tank. Center and Right tanks were not getting used. Once the left tank ran dry no autopilot in the world was going to keep that nose up. I ended up having to re-install FSX to fix the problem.

My plane does use fuel from both tanks, and the center. I've also tried reinstalling everything, and it still does it.

sometimes it does it right when i set my alt button. sometimes it will just do it when it gets the urge to do so.

I can't get the autopilot to start a nose dive...The one thing that will cause the aircraft to nose dive is if the trim is moved at all it will override the AP. This is the only way I could get the aircraft to dive with AP on. The AP controls the trim motor but it seems to be a little slow compared to the FSX default aircraft (Fleet is probably more realistic) in recovering when the trim is moved.
Anthony is there anyway you can record a video of the problem? Also are you running any add-ons like FSPax (don't know if they make this for FSX yet) or Active Sky (shouldn't affect AP but a sudden change in BAROmetric Pressure may affect AP, or any add-on that affects the panel...This is all I could think of so far.

Don't know if this is a related problem, but I've noticed that on the DVA 737, upon climbing out, that even if I click on the AP button the plane will not climb. I discovered that the VS indicator isn't showing any climb rate. I have to manually click on it until I get the appropriate climb rate. This goes for climbing or descending. Incidentally, on the FSX 737, the VS adjusts automatically when you change alt with the AP. Hope this helps
