What ratings do you have to have before you can fly the boeing 747?

I was just wondering, so if anyone could help me out i would really appreciate it.

You have to be a captain in a stage 4 program such as the MD-11, or my favorite, the L-1011. Check the promotions manual in the library. wink

Negative Steven......

you need to pass the 777 first officers test and the CR to get that, if i remember correctly you do not have to be captain, but you must put in to transfer, then select the rating option, then pass the exams...

The only one i know of that you have to be a Stage 4 CPT is for the Concorde...

Sorry Perez, but according to the Pilots Promotion Manual, you have to be in a stage 4 jet program such as the MD-11, L-1011, or 777. My mistake is that you do not have to be a captain in one of those programs, merely you have to be in a stage 4 program.

It's amazing what you can learn by reading the information available in the document library.
