Delta, GOL in South America Flights Deal

Air carrier Delta Air Lines and Brazilian air carrier GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes on Thursday said they signed a baggage and ticketing agreement for connecting flights in South America.

Financial terms were undisclosed.

Beginning July 1, Delta passengers will be able to connect through Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Rio de Janeiro, Argentina, to any of GOL's 58 flights in Brazil and other South American countries.

Part of the travel for some itineraries may be operated by the Delta Connection carriers; including Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Chautauqua, Comair, Freedom Airlines, Shuttle America and SkyWest
