Lewis "Moose" Gregory, DVA1427, our very own MIGHTY 727 Chief Pilot, passed the PPL checkride with flying colors tonight - he missed the gator, knocked the teeth out of the poor bulldog and had him muttering something about "the 727 is Mighty..." when we taxiied by him on the way in... We ended the checkride with a full stop on runway 4 at KMLB - the short field. Nice job Moose and hope to see you in the Commercial course soon!

I felt sorry for the poor bulldog since my alma mater (James Madison University) also has a bulldog for a mascot. Of course, we've won a national football championship (2004 Division I-AA) since Georgia has, too. 
Thanks guys! It was a valuable experience and I STRONGLY encourage everybody at DVA to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity. We've got the best training department in the VA business, and if you're willing to put in the time and effort, you'll come out the other side a better virtual pilot.
