Now that I just passed the test do I have to take a checkride, right away or can I be a F.O. for a while than take it? I have been a keft seater oon a 737 for a while and decided to go into the rocket program and passed the written on the 1st try.

George is right, but I'll give you the answer that I'm positive of. No.

After you pass the FO written exam you must then request switch equipment programs in your pilot center. Then they will email you a checkride usually in the next 24 hours-But you can plan on more. This checkride must be succesfully passed to get you your newest rating.
