I see that it is pretty much a necessity to fly with the ACARS program here. I also fly with FSPassengers and am wondering if it (ACARS) interferes with FSP in any way. For instance, I saw in a screenshot in the help guide that it has a setting for failures....FSP also creates failures, so if I turn off the failures in the ACARS program will it also turn them off in FSP? I want to leave failures on in FSP. Thanks for any help.

No you don't have to fly every flight using ACARS. But if you want to get additional ratings in a new aircraft, then for the check ride you have to use ACARS. And no, I don't believe that turning failures off in ACARS will turn off failures in FSP, Since they are two separate programs.

the failures in ACARS and the Failures in FSPax are completely different. I Use both on EVERY flight I can and I would say to not touch the failure settings in ACARTS (keep them off) and to have FSPax as the one that is giving you the failures. There is, as far as I can tell, absolutely no problem in running both programs on the your flights.

I won't interfere as long as you only have 1 running youre failures.

You don't have to use ACARS, but it is very helpful with logging things you wouldn't be able to do elsewhere. It does become a necesity if you wish to get promoted anywhere though.
