I apologize first if this is a stupid question, but I have to ask. How does one fly a code share flight? Which aircraft (Delta or other) and what call sign (Delta or other) do you use? Thank You

As is said many times that the only stupid question is the one not asked. I am new here also, but from what I read you can use any aircraft as long as it can safely make the flight and you are type rated or equal in that type. I believe that the fleet downloads include the codeshare aircrafts. I would use the code share aircraft and callsign. Also the flight segments are coded for an airline too.

Flights are only to be taken from the flight database found on this website.

You may fly any aircraft on any route [so long as you are rated for the aircraft and the aircraft can safely fly the route].

Filing a PIREP should be done with regards to whatever flight you have done. If you flew AF489, file your PIREP as AF489.

When flying online, I always use DAL3355 as my call and then file my PIREP with whatever I have flown.

Daniel do you use DAL in your callsign online to use Delta or just out of personal choice, if we used DVA and our pilot number would we have to call Delta Virtual to the Tower or etc?

VATSIM recognizes both DAL and DVA as Delta. It's really your choice as to which to use.

Just a word on filing your PIREP for a code share flight. The airport databases are set up for the individual airline. So if you do an Air France flight, you are probably better filing it as Air France, not Delta. If you file it as a Delta flight, the airport(s) may not show up.
