Hey,

I don't know if anyone cares, but there is another virtual airline that is using our name and our callsign.

"Our Name"?

Pft. We're using Delta's name. Have some perspective and lighten up.

All I did was go to their homepage, so this is strictly a judgement call, but they don't look nearly as well put together as us. Kinda makes you appreciate what we've got here.

Hey their EMB-120 has blue steps thats pretty cool, haha, and they got a cool livery for the 777, wonder if we can download those and fly them here, hahaha, I think its funny that someone would jump on the shoulders of such a big virtual airlines, but like Matt said, we are using Deltas name and by no way do we own DVA, so anybody can do anything, I just think that someone should let vatsim or ivao know that there will be two airlines runing the Delta Virtual name so that a few knuckleheads that join up there and go crazy wouldnt hurt our airline.

Its all good there are about 4-5 deltas nothing we can do about because were not the owners of Delta, plus all others is kinda a boost to all our pilots, We are the only VA with ACARS the way we have it setup. The website is very efficent and friendly. This Delta will never be toped due to the fact of time and effort put into. And its been established for a long time, Plus all the pilots who have been here, They will never have pilots with as much hours!

Looks pretty much like all the others. Nice set up for only being around a few months though. And I actually like their promotional video. Hate to steal ideas but this is a free marlet right?

Can we put together a promotional video? Thought that would be pretty cool to have up on the site for visitors.

We are aware of the recent upstart Delta Virtual Airlines. They are exclusive FSX and require online flying using FSX multiplayer and Boston Virtual ATC.

As mentioned above this is not the first nor will it be the last to attempt to replicate our business. Actions and history are very telling, we have flourished over 6 years to be the largest single virtual airline suggesting that our business plan and implementation meet the needs of our pilots and are very attractive to others.

As for a promotional video, while it might be interesting and entertaining to have one, we are at our membership quota. I would not want to create high expectations through the use of a promotional video only to disappoint the new applicant the we aren't hiring.

Oh that's right Terry. Thanks, didn't think of it that way. Well if that's the case, can somone, just for fun, make one and post in the cooler? I've tried but my graphics suck and i'll be wasting everyone's time. BTW, is there a specific reason why we cap at 2500? Just curious.

EDIT: As a side note, kinda cool to actually hear someone say "we aren't hiring"! Sounds look how most major airlines were!

Terry, what would it take to allow more pilots to join? Either in hardware, software, cash, or new server hosts?

Our size is not limited by software, server size, CPU cycles, bandwidth or funding, but instead to our ability to provide administrative services to our members. Your staff is composed of highly dedicated volunteers having unique skills and talents. Even though we add assistants to many of our positions, we find that we have reached our ability to achieve excellence in the delivery of services. Rather than allow unlimited growth that would eventually affect the quality of our services and possible demise of our virtual airline, we elected to cap the number of active pilots.
