Have you read this? http://www.deltava.org/library/Promotion%20Guide.pdf

Basically I think you first need to move to a Stage 3 equipment program and become a captain in one of those before moving to the Stage 4 equipment where the MD-11 resides.

Try stepping up to the 757 program. That should get you going in the right direction and is a pretty forgiveable aircraft.

I'm pretty new here, so I have a ways to go before I can get back to flying my favorite aircrafts. I normally only fly the MD11 (almost daily), 767and DC-8 (once a week), and occasionally 727 or 757. But starting out in the 757 program isn't so bad.

First you need to move to a Stage 3 program, which requires successful completion of a written test and a Check Ride. Once you fly ten legs you can apply for the Captain exam fot that Stage 3 AC. Finally you need to request transfer to the MD-11 and you will have to do a written test and you will be assigned the MD-11 Check Ride. Of course, you need to pass both of them. smile Once you pass the exam and CR, you will be a MD-11 First Officer.

Hope to see you in the MD-11 Program soon. biggrin

Regards.
