I have flown a few flts now online with DVA First wanted to say thanks for all the help everyone has given me. I have been with a few different VA’s but by far this has been the best one I really like it and look forward staying around for along time. I can tell you guys really know what your doing looking at some of your flight hours.

Little about me I am an Aircraft Dispatcher for SKW been working in the Airline industry since 1991 (now I feel old) grew up in Salt Lake City . Started flying got up to 20hours
So I have a good knowledge about aviation and the airline industry I have always loved Delta and Skywest.

Now for some questions (sorry I will always be the one asking a lot of questions)

First, after I did a flight last night on approach into KATL FS9 locked up
On me then it wouldn’t reload the error was a gauge dll something
I do have a lot of add-ons but I am not sure if I should start with a fresh copy of FS9 or not

Second there was a marsheller who masheld me out of the gate and is not there anymore

Third where can I find cockpit diagrams of the 757-200

Last one for now one of my weakness of flt sim is on a visual approach
Is finding the right runway sometimes now like KSLC I have no problem

What is a good moving map or program that could help me find the right
Runway?

Thanks for your help
Cya out there

Shane

Hey Shane, Welcome aboard....let's see how many of your questions I can answer.
With the lockup, that happens to me time to time. You could do a reinstall of FS9, but I wouldn't start by doing that if you don't need to. Maybe defrag the old computer see if that softens the blow a bit. Could be that the add-ons put a little pressure on the old CPU.
Second, with the freeware of DVA, the only plane that you can have a vehicle push you back from the gate is a 737 (from my experience), if this is the question you are asking.
Third, not really sure about the diagrams. You could look in the 757 manual, but I'm not sure if they have a diagram, haven't peaked in there in ages.
Lastly, I use the GPS to help me find the runway, and if you do .charts ICAO code in ACARS (example .charts KSLC) it will bring up an additional window with charts for KSLC, or any airport you put in, that way you could match up the charts witht the GPS.

Happy flying my friend, and welcome aboard!

Also, remember that FS9 will usually not paint the airport and runways until you are 10-12 miles from the airport depending on the settings/video card etc of your computer...set your HSI for the ILS ( if it has one for the runway you are trying to do a visual on) such as 34L at KSLC and it will "guide" you to where you want to go before you see it.... biggrin
