Hi all:
I use FS9 (2004) and when I start a flight, particularly at CVG or ATL, how do you find out Delta assigned gates and parking areas so as I can position my aircraft.
Also, when landing on line at an airport without ATC, is there a way to determine Gate numbers. In other words are there taxi and gate charts available and if so can someone provide me with the LINK

Yes, you can go to the pilot center, and when you scroll down, you should find something called "Approach Charts" or something. Click it, and when it opens up, type the THREE letter code for your airport. for instance, KCVG, would just be CVG. The first one should say Airport Diagram or something, open that, and wahlah. As far as getting to the right gates, I know if you are using the Imaginesim KCVG, then you will have all the gates, or maybe one off of AVSIM, but I'm not sure. If you are using the default KCVG, then you will not have all the gates, just a few of them (we blame Microsoft lol) Same with KATL. If you do have a payware KCVG or KATL, or any airport, you can go to wikipedia, and search up the ICAO code for the airport to see what airlines are at what terminals etc... Hope this helped.

What I do is go to a particular airports website and see which terminals where Delta uses and try and get a spot from there in FS9. For Atlanta... I dont think you can really miss since 80% of the gates are Delta.. I know Terminal B I fly out of alot is Delta.

You can also search for the specific airport on the internet and they usually have a gate layout for you to look at and see where Delta parks, then use the link that steve posted and you will find the gate...

Since you fly out of ATL a lot, here goes:
T1-6, all of A, all of B, C21-C36, D11, D22-D35, and E is all common gates (although quite a few are operated out of daily, don't know these).

The facility charts in the pilot center rarely have gate numbers on them-So this will not help you much. Steve Pickle's idea seems to be the best...

michael, sorry for the late post, i work at cvg and have some info that might help you. delta uses the entire "b" concourse, gates b1 thru b28. gates b13 thru b27 are mostly used for international flights if i am correct, all the flights out of those gates are 767's. concourse "c" is the comair terminal, these gates service crj-200, crj-700, and erj135/145 aircraft only under delta connection liveries. chataugua and freedom operate the erj's but are serviced in the comair terminal under contract. concourse c gates range from gates c1 thru c79. concourse "a" is a mix of everything, i dont get over there much so im not real certain on all the gate assignments, but the ones i do know for sure are gates a4 thru a25 are for the delta connection erj's flown by chatauqua. gates a1 thru a5 are seldom used, but i think they can handle all delta and delta connection aircraft. i think they are mainly used as overflow gates, but like i said, i'm not real familiar with concourse a so dont hold me to it. the rest of the gates at a are a mix of northwest express and a few smaller airlines with a limited schedule in and out of cvg. hope this helps you out in some.
