Well, I wish I'd noticed this when it happened, but...I'm proud to announce that sometime in the past few weeks, the Boeing 727 logged its 5,000th flight with Delta Virtual Airlines. This makes the B727 the ninth different airframe to break 5,000 flights with DVA. (First place, if you're curious, is the B737-800, with over 35,000 logged flights, the CRJ-200 is second.)

Thanks to all of you who fly the Mighty 727!

The L-1011-100 has 2,732 flights, and the L-1011-500 has another 108, totalling 2,840.

The "Flight Totals" link, under "Statistics" on the sidebar, has all sorts of interesting stuff to check out. smile

"Do we know which pilot made the 5,000 flight?"

My guess would be George Lewis and his "100 flights around the world in a 727" trip.
