Hi,

I'm new to Delta Virtual Airlines and would like to know how to log a flight. Thanks.

Hi Brad! Welcome to a great community!

The pilot center is your source for pretty much everything. The document library contains manuals and other very helpful information to help you fly.

The fleet library is where you download things, such as aircraft and ACARS (Aircraft Communication And Reporting System) ACARS is what we use to log your flights. It's pretty straightfoward-you download it, fill out your flight information, and at the end of the flight you send it in. Your flight will then be reviewed and accepted or declined.

If you can't download it for any reason-you can always file a reoprt manually in the "File Flight Report" section of the pilot center after your flight.

Don't be afraid to ask any more questions you have!

Welcome to the best of the best, Brad!

To add to Mark's response, you cannot log your first flight with ACARS. You'll have to do it manually, I know, sounds scary doesn't it?

Take a look at the schedule, in your Pilot Center, and choose a flight. After you fly the flight, go to your Pilot Center again and in the Flight Reports section, click File new report. Fill it out, and submit it.

After that you will be assigned a DVA ID and you will be able to use ACARS, a great tool.

Regards.

Thanks a lot. That helped. One more question. I have FSX. What do I do if the aircraft on my flight plan is not compatible with FSX?

Well, obviously you won't be able to fly at all because the aircraft won't work with FSX. At this time, we're updating our fleet to be all FSX compatible. Our goal is to finish this task by this year.

The fleet installer discription of each aircraft will tell you if it's compatible onot.
