A recent upgrade to our feature-rich DVA ACARS system incorporated a new feature that records in-flight refueling and includes an information orange, caution flag on the flight report. The practice of in-flight refueling is not grounds for flight report rejection. While we do not advocate the practice of in-flight refueling, but instead suggest a flight diversion for refueling. A diverted flight will be approved provided that you complete the initial filed journey.

Prior to clarifying with our reviewers flight report rejection policy, some pilots may have had their flight reports rejected for in-flight refueling. We would like to reverse the rejected flights out of fairness.

NOTE: If you used an aircraft that from the outset legally could not complete the journey with sufficient fuel reserves as defined by the FAA, this is basis for rejection and the flight report will not be reversed.
