From what I understand, each program's exam profile is slightly different. I should have specified in my post that my response related to the Mad Dog exams. Some program exams consists of more questions, which changes the number of correct answers needed for a pass grade.

The MD-88 exams consist of 25 questions. Some other programs, such as the 757 exams, consist of 30 questions overall.
